Senior Data Scientist – Onchain Analytics

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist with expertise in onchain analytics to join a dynamic team in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space. This role is ideal for someone passionate about leveraging data to enhance operational efficiency, mitigate compliance risks, and develop cutting-edge systems in the rapidly evolving world of blockchain and fintech.



Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with the Financial Crime and Compliance team to enhance efficiency and reduce compliance risks.
Analyze data and translate statistical insights into actionable strategies to optimize operational effectiveness.
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of specific compliance systems, such as AML detection engines.
Oversee and maintain production models, support audits, conduct QA testing, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Identify new opportunities for business improvements and manage end-to-end development, from proof of concept to full production deployment.



Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative discipline.
A minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience as a Data Scientist, ideally within the fintech or blockchain sectors, with exposure to onchain analysis.
Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, along with experience in building and maintaining production-level machine learning models using AWS tools.



A practical, hands-on approach with the willingness to handle ad-hoc data analysis tasks while also leading end-to-end product development.
Familiarity with international advancements in technology, the ability to interpret English-language academic research, and the skill to apply findings to engineering challenges.
