We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Engineering to lead and shape our clients engineering function, playing a pivotal role in advancing core data and engineering strategies.
In this high-impact role, you will drive the design, development, and implementation of robust engineering and data infrastructure that powers analytics, insights, and machine learning capabilities. As a critical team member, you’ll work cross-functionally to ensure the engineering and data infrastructure is scalable, secure, and available to support operational and strategic objectives.

Essential skills and experience required:
Start-up, scale-up, and high-growth industries - A proven track record in data engineering within high-growth fintech or technology companies, with an ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Deep data engineering & data science expertise – Experience in data engineering, architecture, or data science, with hands-on knowledge of building scalable data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing in agentic, iterative workflows.
AI and Machine Learning – Proficiency in AI and ML concepts, with a history of deploying machine learning models in production to solve complex business problems and drive innovation in data products.
Product-driven data strategy – Ability to develop data solutions that align with product goals, enhance user experiences, and support rapid experimentation in a fast-moving product company.
Analytical and problem-solving skills – Skilled in data analysis, modelling, and deriving actionable insights that guide product and business decisions, even with incomplete data in a scaling environment.
Leadership in a growth-oriented setting – Demonstrated experience building and leading data engineering teams within a start-up or scale-up, focusing on fostering a high-accountability culture.
Exceptional communication skills – Translating technical data strategies and insights into actionable plans for non-technical stakeholders and executive teams.
Strategic vision with flexibility – Ability to set and execute a forward-thinking data strategy, balancing long-term vision with the agility required to adapt to changing priorities and challenges.
Innovative and self-driven – Strong proactive approach to identifying challenges and opportunities in a scaling setting, with the creativity and resilience to implement data-driven solutions in an evolving, resourceful environment.
